Bharggavi Shanmugananthan

Bharggavi is a DPhil student at the Paleovirology lab interested in understanding the impact host-virus co-evolution has towards immunity and innate immune responses against circulating viruses.

At present her work involves exploring the role of co-opted Endogenous Retroviruses (ERVs) as anti-viral defence mechanisms in mammals through both experimental wet-lab and computational methods.
